Jan Book Haul and 2019 reading plans

Hi guys

Long time no blog even though I was meant to post more regularly.
But that's life I'm afraid.

It's like me saying I won't buy new books till I've read at least five of the ones I've got.

I saw the above George RR Martin short story collection  for just four pounds and couldn't resist.

Anyway my reading plans for 2019 is now in action.
I have decided to read at least three books on my old bookshelf which has books I've had going on twenty years.

Then when I've read the three books or a trilogy will allow myself to read two books or a series from new shelf (depends if it is a series and I have all the books in that series).

When I've read a total of at least six books from both shelves I will then allow myself to purchase a new book if there is anything I like.
This way it gets my TBR pile down.
Now I have to knuckle down and read.

Hope to finish Prince of the Blood by Raymond E Feist by Sunday.

Chat soon and happy reading.

Things to come in 2019

Happy New Year everyone.

Hope you are all well?  Reading and writing and chasing your dreams.

As for myself I've started healthy eating and going to get back to the gym.

Also for 2019 I want to focus more on my reading and writing plus more blogs if I can think up posts.

Looking back to last year I read a pitiful two full books (going by the book reviews on this blog).
They were A Darkness at Sethanon by Raymond E Feist and Bones in the Nest by Helen Cadbury.
I also started in August,  Prince of the Blood by Raymond E Feist which I have gone back to and getting into.

To say I'm meant to be an avid reader with about two hundred plus books on my shelves still to read that is awful.

This year I will read more and spend less time procrastinating on Facebook and the internet .  I will also cut down on watching Booktubes on YouTube and actually read!!

Writing wise I did better as I started writing again at the end of last year for Nanowrimo a novel I want to complete this year.  Hopefully finish first draft by August.  I also want to write more short stories .  Some I will share on here.

I also got published last year in the Cleckheaton Literature Festival Anthology called Reflections .
As a writer I need to build on that and try to get published again soon.

Coming up on the blog so far:-

Two film reviews for Spider-Man- Into the Spider-verse and Bumblebee.
To give you a clue as to what I thought - both awesome and both fanboy dreams come to live.

A review on Prince of the Blood.

Belated posts on Sledge-lit 2018.

Anything else I can think of.  If you want to see something mention it in the comments.

Thanks

Neil x
