Fast n Furious - Hobbs and Shaw - Film Review

Hi folks

Went to see the Fast and Furious spin off - Hobbs and Shaw for a bit of mindless fun and action.
I have to admit I enjoyed it more than the Fast and Furious core films.

Part of this is that we have already been introduced to the characters.
Lawman Luke Hobbs played by Dwayne (the rock) Johnson and ex marine and criminal Deckard Shaw played by Jason Statham.

The pair are a great comedic double act taking the piss out of each other but finally respecting each other.

The plot is standard action affair where the bad guys are led by Idris Elba who has a past with Shaw.  He is also enhanced like Captain America and chasing Shaws little sister Hattie played by Vanessa Kirby who has injected herself with a super virus to protect it from the bad guys.

The film moves along at a fast and furious  pace with plenty of action scenes, fights and explosions.  On top of this are the quips and tongue in cheek fun and you get a great film to turn your mind off to.

Overall  - a great action romp where someone should time travel to the eighties and remake it with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Van Damme!

Score    -     8/10

Spooky October Update

Hi Folks

Hope you're all reading and writing well?

As you can tell from my previous posts September wasn't as good as I thought it would be.  With promises of more posts about Edge-lit 2019 among other things and I was going to get back into writing.

Sadly I haven't.  This maybe because life took other.  Too much travelling to work and back.  Home late so procrastinating with Youtube and crap T.V.

I haven't even finished Winter Warriors by David Gemmell and been reading it 3 months.

Part of me is unsure about my future as a writer and the imposter syndrome has taken over giving me doubt of actually being a writer.

I'm hoping I can shake this feeling off and get back to blogging more as I definitely want to do the Edge-lit posts this month and hope to get back on my laptop and write.

So hopefully will post and chat soon people x

Have any of you  writers also had doubts?

Neil
