Deadpool 2 - Film Review - Mild Spoilers

Hi guys

Went to see the sequel to 2016 R rated hit Deadpool.  Have to say it doesn't feel like two years since the last film came out.

This time there is more money thrown at making the sequel which means better CGI, more characters and better action sequences.

This time we see Deadpool up to his usual self killing bad guys and madly in love with girlfriend Vanessa who has accepted Deadpools potted look.

Events take a turn for the worse when some bad guys who have followed Deadpool home start shooting up his place.  Inevitably Vannesa gets in the way and *spoilers* is killed.

This has Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) wanting to top himself but can't because of his healing abilities.
Colossus comes to help his friend and he reluctantly agrees to train as an X Man. Cue one of the best cameos in the film.

At the same time Cable (Josh Brolin) has come from the future to stop a boy Russell from becoming a future villian and stop him wiping his family out.

Deadpool tasks himself with saving Russell and even sets up his own team X Force with hilarious results.

The laughs are good but feel more forced than first film although some are great when Deadpool gets ripped in half and what happens to his X Force team.

Overall - A great film with gross humour and some great action and forth wall breaks but obviously doesn't feel as fresh as first movie.  Plus there are too many Marvel references.  Hope there is a third film though!

Score    -   8/10
