February 2023 - Update

Hi Peeps

Already February.  Got a feeling this year is going to go as fast as last year, if not faster! Is the planet rotating around the Sun quicker?

January Roundup

Reading -

Well so far my reading is as bad as last year.  Off to a slow start and still reading Ruin.

Writing -

Not written in January.  Tried rebooting memory on laptop to get space on the system but Microsoft wouldn't allow it as most of the memory was for their system.  I also cancelled the £59:99 a year Microsoft subscription.  As I was going nowhere with laptop I went to Amazon and purchased a refurbished computer system.

Other -

Still working in a call centre.  Still not been to the gym or walked as much as I'd liked.  It was a quiet month.  A highlight was going to Meadowhall at Sheffield.  I visited a new Waterstones and had a January book haul.

Although The Drift by CJ Tudor is for Mum

February Upcoming -

Reading -

Of course in the first week of February, I hope to finish Ruin.  Then move onto the final book in John Gwynne's Faithful and the Fallen series, Wrath.

Writing -

Well now I have the equipment, February will be the month I officially start my writing again. I think I may just bite the bullet and pay Microsoft the £59:99.

Other -

This month I will definitely be walking more and going to the gym.  Need to get fit. Especially as middle of the month I'm due to get blood pressure monitored.

I also hope to blitz my flat and put my newest book shelf up.

I may be purchasing tickets to 2023 Edge-lit.  Although the train strikes are putting me off.  Derby is quite a bit away.

I'm also looking forward to pancake day. Ha ha.

I have had my first book haul for February already.

Well I hope you all have a great and productive February.  Even though it's a short month.

  1. Sounds like you are a procrastinator like me. I have lots of excuses, computer problems, lost my hard copy of my novel, I have little people in my computer games that depend on me, and crops to plant and harvest, along with chickens and cows in my Taonga game. Plus I suffer from frequent headaches and have intestinal issues. That's all why my novel isn't finished yet. On the other hand, I'm getting lots of reading done, because I read every night (almost) for 30 to 120 minutes. I hope and pray you can find your muse and that I will listen to mine and get to work. I also have a blog on Blogger that I have neglected for a couple of years at least. I hope to get back to that also. Have a great day!
