Avengers - Infinity War - Film Review *Mild spoilers*

Hi Guys

Went to see the latest Marvel Superhero movie/slugfest over a week ago and still processing it but wow it is an emotional rollercoaster of a film and draining but at the same time a brilliant spectacle in movie making.

Think I should have seen it again before this review but will definitely be going again to see it.
Last week it looked amazing on Imax too.

For those who don't know Marvel have been leading up to this film from 2008 Iron Man and Avengers film with Thanos (played by Josh Brolin) in a post credit scene.
You are best watching all the Marvel films from Iron Man to Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther (seen but not reviewed but would have given it 9/10) to get a gist of what is happening.

The film starts straight after Thor Ragnarok where the surviving Asgardians run into Thanos ship as he is hunting the Infinity Stones.

From the off there are major deaths and loss although I think Thanos spared some Asgardians as Korg and Valkrye were not among the ones killed.

There is an excellent fight between Hulk (Mark Ruffalo)  and Thanos where the latter beats Hulk to a pulp who gets sent to Earth.  Hulk then refuses to come out the rest of the film despite attempts from Bruce Banner.

The outcome has Thor landing on the ship of the Guardians of the galaxy who have grown into a family and Starlord(Chris Pratt) is jealous of Thor(Chris Hemsworth).

There are so many threads to the story you really need to see previous films to know what's happening.
Back on Earth Iron Man(Robert Downey Jr), Dr Strange(Benedict Cumberbatch)  Spider-Man(Tom Holland) are protecting the Time Stone.

Also Vision(Paul Bettany) who has the Mind Stone is keeping off Thanos Black Order with the help of Scarlett Witch(Elizabeth Olsen) and Captain America(Chris Evans).

The movie has brilliant special effects and some amazing acting from all involved.  It also has some jumps and WTF moments where you want to scream at the screen.
The battle of Wakanda is great too although reminded me of Star Wars episode 1 and the battle of the Gungans as had similar shields.
There are a lot of questions raised not sure if they will be answered or some bad writing.  For example in Thor Ragnarok Bruce can't remember the last 2 years fighting as the Hulk.  Yet in this film he remembers Thanos and the invasion.

Also expect a couple of cameos from previous heroes or villains.

Overall  -  an immense film with a lot to put in including giving Thanos a good motive for his actions and backstory plus gives most of the heroes a chance to shine or go out with a click of the finger!
The Russo brothers have directed an epic.  I can't wait to see Avengers 4 and see the outcome.  There are a lot if questions need answering.

Score   -   10/10
