Five Nights at Freddy's - Film Review

Hello Peeps

Took my daughter to see Five Nights at Freddy's for her birthday and both had a good time.  But were we scared?

No.  But it was creepy in parts. Based on the popular computer games of the same name if follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson), who struggles to look after his little sister and keep a job.

Troubled by nightmares of when he was younger and his little brother got kidnapped, he reluctantly takes a security job from Steve Raglan (Matthew Lillard) to be night security at a diner/play gym at Freddy Fazbear's pizza.

Here there are creepy mechanic giant puppets that come to life.  Are they possessed by the ghosts of dead murdered children and do they connect to Mike and his missing brother. Yes.

Overall - an enjoyable romp with some good sets and puppets. The actors were good especially Matthew Lillard who is one of my favourite actors and a great Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

My daughter was freaking out as there is a cameo from Matt Pak, from the Film Theory YouTube channels.  They have quite a few videos on the actual game.

There aren't many scares and I preferred the bonkers Nicolas Cage film which has a very similar story - Willy's Wonderland. Yet it is watchable and the daughter loved it.

Which is weird as we have never played the games and probably missed a few Easter eggs from the game.

Bels Score   -  9/10

My Score    -   7/10
